Peace Camp 2013: Call for Participation

The MSU-IIT Youth Chain of Peace (MYCoP) is organizing a 2-day camp this coming June 29-30, 2013 to be held at the Spiritan’s Formation House, Upper Pindugangan, Iligan City. This year’s camp is themed “Challenging the Challenges 2.0.” We are looking for active young IITians (Muslims, Christians and Lumads) preferably 1st year-3rd Year College who are passionate and committed to be part of the young network of volunteers in MSU-IIT.

Twenty five young leaders from the institute will be selected to participate in our trainings. After the camp, participants are expected to re-echo awareness on peace process to their respective communities.

MYCoP is a group of students/advocates whose mission is to promote deeper understanding of the culture of peace and serves as the youth support group of the Institute for Peace and Development in Mindanao (IPDM).

This camp is funded by the Civil Peace Service Program of the German Development agency Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ).
