He drew a parallel between ChatGPT and a calculator, emphasizing its utility as a tool for students in performing arithmetic operations.

Profs. Rahmawati and Sorohiti complemented this by discussing the use of various ICT tools in education, providing a roadmap for educators to navigate and utilize these resources effectively. In their insightful presentations, they demonstrated how technology could be seamlessly integrated into the academe. Prof. Rahmawati emphasized the importance of educating students on various AI tools, underscoring that this knowledge among educators serves as a deterrent against misuse, positioning these tools as learning aids rather than shortcuts.

The visiting professors imparted their expertise and insights, illuminating the transformative potential of artificial intelligence in the realm of education. Furthermore, they elaborated on the initiatives pursued by their institution, UMY, in response to the evolving landscape of education influenced by AI.

The session came to an end with an agreement that the forthcoming direction of the educational sector rests upon the harmonious interaction between human cognitive abilities and the capabilities of artificial intelligence.
