IIT Electronics Engineering bags Top 1 Performing School and Top 3 ECE and ECT placers

MSU-IIT’s Electronics Engineering (ECE) once again proved its excellence for being the lone Top Performing School with a passing rate of 88.89% in April 2017 Electronics Engineering Licensure Board Exam given by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

Engr. Darryl Dave G. Ditucalan clinched the Top 3 spot among the examinees with a rating of 88.20%. Moreover, Robert Leemar Malolot Bagundol, Kriz Kevin Cantago Adrivan and Darryl Dave Getaruelas Ditucalan all landed on the third spot with a rating of 89% of the Electronics Technician (ECT) Exam.

24 out of 27 examinees passed the licensure exam given on April 2-4, 2017 at PRC Testing Centers in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao. Out of the 2,503 examinees, only 1,033 passed the exam making the national passing rate at 41.30%.

Ditucalan, the 2016 Institute Class Salutatorian and COE Class Valedictorian was the first Summa Cum Laude graduate of the College of Engineering since it opened in 1977.

This recent feat is a remarkable one for the Electronics Engineering. IIT’s ECE is the lone CHED’s Center of Excellence in ECE in the Visayas and Mindanao region. The program subjected itself to the Washington Accord Accreditation last 2015.
